Very.co.uk promotes its Black Friday sale event in a new advert.

The spot features a man who’s shopping a Samsung Galaxy S20 5G with free 128GB memory card, which is discounted from £899 to £610 on Very.co.uk, while in the background the T Rex’s “Hot Love” plays. The voiceover urges viewers to feel Black Friday smug with the retailer’s huge range of discounts, like the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G.

The Galaxy S20 5G is available for purchase in gray, pink and blue. The standard delivery fee is £3.99 and the deal is valid until November 27th.

The 20-second spot is part of the retailer’s “Christmas is this Very moment” campaign, which marks the first work of agency Grey London for Very and aims to inspire people to enjoy more the small moments that make life special.

The Christmas ad features a wife and mother of three who says what she loves about Christmas and mentions several things, such as watching her neighbors setting up their Christmas lights, dressing the house, getting a 12-foot tree in a 10-foot room, filming her little son placing the star on top of the Christmas tree, finding the surprise gift her husband bought for her, and more.

Carly O’Brien, chief marketing officer at The Very Group, which operates Very, said in a press statement that this campaign was meant to be “insightful, warm, optimistic and real throughout,” and “underline Very’s position at the heart of everyday life and to convey the humanity of our brand – helping, supporting, understanding – with the tone of a friend talking”.
