Pedialyte Commercial: Father Drinking from Daughter's Bottle

Pedialyte shows us what happens “When Dehydration Gets Real”. The spot features a dehydrated father willing to buy a pony for a few sips of Pedialyte.

The man, who’s obviously not feeling well at all, grabs a bottle of Pedialyte that he finds in the fridge but, as he takes a few sips, his daughter shows up, telling him that it was her bottle. He then promises to buy her a pony to make up for it.

The commercial ends with the voiceover informing viewers that Pedialyte is not just for kids, but can be found in the kids aisle.

Pedialyte can be consumed as a drink, popsicle, or jell cup whose purpose is to replace the fluids lost in your body due to vomiting or diarrhea (actions that can cause dehydration). Loaded with electrolytes, the beverage is also used to replenish the electrolytes used after working out or a night of drinking alcohol. Pedialyte drinks contain acesulfame potassium (Ace-K), artificial colors, and the flavored Pedialyte drinks contain sucralose.
