Jimmy John’s has released a hilarious new ad to inform that, if you use promo code 5off20 when you order on the chain’s website or on the app, you get $5 off orders of $20 or more.
The spot opens with a young girl ready to open the Christmas present received from her parents, who are right beside her, encouraging her to go ahead. When she sees four Jimmy John’s sandwiches and a drink inside the box, her father tells her that he used the promo code 5OFF20 and got $5 off their $20 purchase.
At this point, the nice atmosphere vanishes as the girl’s sister, who is in the same room, surrounded by dozens of gifts, stands up and shouts to her dad: “I knew she was your favorite!” (referring to her sister, obviously). She is then heard crying from another room and repeating “I knew it!”.
The ad informs that the $20 subtotal needs to be met before taxes and fees. The offer, valid at participating locations through December 20, 2020, can’t be combined with other offers or redemption of rewards using Freaky Fast Rewards, and cannot be used either with Group Ordering.
To support this offer, the sandwich chain launched, earlier this year, in May, a national ad campaign, shot from homes across the country by out-of-work creatives. At that time, the deal was valid from May 4 through May 17.
If, in spring, the brand collaborated with WorkInProgress (WIP), last month, it has appointed Anomaly as its lead creative agency. Darin Dugan, Chief Marketing Officer, Jimmy John’s, aid in a press statement “We are incredibly excited about the future of the Jimmy John’s brand and the key role that Anomaly will play in our evolution of the brand in 2021.”
