Fiat showcases, in its latest ad, the Christmas tree sensor, its innovative device aimed at protecting Christmas trees from attacks from toddlers.
“It’s Christmastime. The happiest time of the year. Unless you’re a Christmas tree,” the voiceover says in the opening of the 60-second spot, created by agency GTC Milan, which features a little blonde girl as she sets her eyes on the Christmas tree and its sparkling decorations. The toddler is then shown as she’s heading toward the tree while her parents are busy setting the table. The moment she’s trying to touch a decoration, a white cube adorned with a red bow hanging in the tree starts beeping, warning the adults about the “danger” and determining the little one to give up her intention.
The voiceover presents the solution – the Christmas tree sensor, inspired by the automaker’s parking sensor. “We have adapted our technology to save your Christmas tree,” the voiceover also says at the end of the commercial, adding “Fiat wishes you the safest Christmas ever”.
