DFS Christmas Advert - Wallace & Gromit

DFS takes viewers, for the second Christmas in a row, to the much-loved animated world of Wallace & Gromit.

The two characters take center stage in the retailer’s holiday advert, as they discover the true meaning of Christmas. Titled “A Comfy Carol,” the spot follows the iconic fictional duo as they lead their carol singing sheep, called “Ewe-phonia”, across the town, willing to beat a record. At some point, when Gromit starts shivering in front of a house, he sees through the window a family relaxing on DFS sofas. They are invited in to relax on the cosy sofas, as well, and indulge themselves with some festive treats.

Aardman Director, Will Becher, who worked on the ad, said “‘I’m thrilled to be bringing Wallace & Gromit back to our screens for this special Christmas spot with DFS, in a warm and wonderful winter tale – involving carol singing sheep”.

Nick Ashworth, Marketing Director at DFS, has also given a statement regarding the brand’s Winter campaign, created in partnership with agency Krow, and declared that it (the campaign) “captures the much-loved, Christmas mood, with an injection of Wallace & Gromit classic humour”.
