Choice Hotels celebrates the return to travel with a new multi-channel ad campaign developed by the company’s creative agency-of-record, North Carolina-based McKinney, and aimed to highlight that, “Wherever you’re headed, Choice Hotels is there”.
The 30-second spot features a variety of people as they are traveling to different places and enjoy amazing landscapes in the company of their dear ones. The video, scored by a cover of the 1980 hit single “On The Road Again” performed by folk duo First Aid Kit (consisting of siblings Johanna and Klara Söderberg), also features famous destinations across the US as well as a number of hotels including Cambria, Quality Inn and Comfort Suites.
Patrick Pacious, president and chief executive officer, Choice Hotels, said in a press statement that “Many travelers are looking to reconnect with family and friends, get outdoors and enjoy our nation’s beautiful national parks, rivers, lakes and beaches, and explore other local attractions”. According to the survey by the U.S. Travel Association, more than two-thirds of consumers miss traveling and can’t wait to hit the road, and one in four Americans are already planning a future vacation.
Pacious also said the lodge franchisor’s new ad campaign aims to remind its guests that Choice provides them with “a wide variety of hotel options, both at the right price point and located near hundreds of desirable destinations nationwide”.
Choice Hotels also encourages travelers to share their road trip adventures using the hashtag #OnTheRoadAgain across social media.
