Burger King focuses on the freshness of the ingredients used to make its menu items in one of the latest ads.
The 15-second spot, dubbed “Tears,” opens with the close-up of a young man in tears, who turns out to be a Burger King employee assigned to slice onions. “Freshly sliced onions. Daily.” an onscreen line reads at the end of the commercial, which sees the worker shedding tears while using the onion cutter.
The fast-food chain declares that every sandwich is prepared to order. Alongside the freshly sliced onions are flame-grilled beef, melted cheese or bacon, juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayo, crunchy pickles and delicious sauces, which round up the taste of the burger. The sesame seed buns used by BK are, according to the brand, delivered fresh on a daily basis to restaurants by the bakeries and are toasted freshly for customers.
