Aldo promotes its Fall 2020 collection in a dance-themed campaign entitled “Step Into Love” and with a StepIntoLove TikTok dance challenge.
The campaign film features a diverse cast of models and dancers showing off their dance moves on a NY Subway. When the train car unexpectedly comes to a halt, they begin to perform one by one. Toward the end of the video, they come together in a choreographed group routine with Imanbek Remix of “Roses” by SAINt JHN serving as soundtrack.
According to the brand, this commercial, which was shot prior to COVID-19, aims to encourage people to express their true self and have the courage to connect with the world around them.
The TikTok challenge launched by Aldo gives consumers the chance to win $5000. Those willing to participate must submit their own dance video to the platform until September 1st, using the tag @Aldo_Shoes. Their dance must be performed to the same song used in the campaign – “Roses (Imanbek Remix)” by SAINt JHN.
