Xfinity advertises its Xfinity Flex, a personalized streaming dashboard that puts all your favorites in one place on your TV, in a new commercial, featuring Amy Poehler.
The 30-second spot features the actress as a couple therapist who asks the husband, named Mark, what he is searching for.
He answers he’s searching for a version of himself who doesn’t make decisions based on fear. She then asks him what
streaming apps he’s searching for and, without waiting for his reply, tells him he has Xfinity Flex, which comes with his internet and puts his apps in one place. Encouraged to try it, Mark says “Kung Fu Panda” to the voice-enabled remote control and then all the Kung Fu Panda-related appear on screen. Seeing the delight on the man’s face, Poehler’s character asks Mark’s wife if they have kids. The latter says they don’t giving a meaningful look to her life partner, who’s like a kid watching cartoons. The therapist doesn’t seem too surprised.
The commercial ends with the voiceover presenting Xfinity Flex as a personalized sreaming dashboard that’s “simple,” “easy,” and “awesome”.
This is not the first ad for Xfinity Flex featuring Amy Poehler. In a previous one, which highlighted that customers can get XFINITY Internet for $34.99 per month for 12 months, she suggests a group of friends to pause their friend’s Wi-Fi connection to get her out of her room and, in another one, for the XFINITY Gig speed internet, she acts as if she were reporting live on game day from a couple’s house.
