Walgreens has enlisted Neil Patrick Harris and his life partner, celebrity chef David Burtka, to front its 2019 holiday campaign and share their own #TrueHolidayStory moments.
The couple feature in a series of ads that aim to “illustrate the messy, frustrating, beautiful moments that make the holiday season memorable. “One of them sees the How I Met Your Mother star wearing his kids stockings because he hadn’t found his slippers.
Other ads also show them in different holiday-related situations, focusing on the lighthearted approach and the positive energy they have.
The two have talked to Walgreens about their holiday plans, revealing that they are going to throw a party, go to Disneyworld at the beginning of December, and spend time with their family. “One of the nice things amidst the chaos of the holiday season is that it quiets down, and you’re allowed to just coexist with your kids and your spouse and just be together,” Harris said during the interview.
