TurboTax advertises its TurboTax Live service, which allows users to connect and get support in real time from a CPA, in a new commercial from creative agency Wieden+Kennedy.
The spot features a group of three friends at lunch in an automatized café, where the cook and the waiters are all robots.
One of them, who’s using TurboTax Live to get some answers related to a deductible expense from a CPA, tells his fellows – a girl and a guy – that he loves technology, but “it is infinitely better with people” just right when a robot waiter brings them their order. Even if he and other robot workers hear him and his friends at the table try to shush him, he keeps talking about that, adding that “sometimes, you need that real human touch, you know? A little bit of empathy and understanding.” The girl concludes that he talks too much.
At the end of the commercial, the voiceover highlights that TurboTax Live is now with CPAs on demand.
According to TurboTax, 100% of TurboTax Live experts are CPAs, EAs or Tax Attorneys who can even review your return line by line, sign it, and guarantee it’s done right.
