Tide advertises its Antibacterial Fabric Spray, designed to kill 99.9% of bacteria, in a hilarious new commercial.
The 30-second spot features two parents who, after witnessing all kinds of nasty situations, almost swear. However, they stop just at the right moment because they are using Tide Antibacterial Fabric Spray. Thus, they clean a stuffed teddy bear licked by the family’s dog with the Antibacterial Fabric Spray, they clean a chair on which their daughter placed the toilet brush and the plunger, they clean the boy’s rucksack, which hosted a frog.
The Antibacterial Fabric Spray is, according to the ad, “designed to kill 99.9% of bacteria” and “works so well, you’ll swear by it”.
The commercial ends with the voiceover adding the tagline “Tide Antibacterial Fabric Spray. Don’t Say It. Spray It”.
This type of sanitizing spray is described, by the brand, as a quick solution to eliminate odors and bacteria from hard-to-wash items and refresh clothes between washes. It also fights germs on hard surfaces (when used as directed), killing pesky microorganisms. Convenient and fast-acting, the Antibacterial Fabric Spray can be used on clothes, bedding, car seats, couches, dog beds, towels, and more.
The product is available as a 22 fl oz at retailers like Target ($5.99) and Walmart ($11.99).
