NRMA Insurance is helping to ensure the future of koalas by protecting their homes and highlights that “Every home is worth protecting” in a new ad.
The spot, created by The Monkeys and directed by Gary Freedman, features one of Australia’s most loved citizens – the koala – as he is helped by a young boy to return to his home. Stranded up a telegraph pole, the cute animal, “played” by Arlo, an 18-month old koala, is “convinced” by the kid to get down and go into the forest, where he climbs up a tree.
“Every home is worth protecting. We’re planting a tree for every new home insurance policy. Until December 31, 2019” onscreen lines read at the end of the 60-second video.
The new integrated brand campaign, set to run across TV, outdoor, radio, partnerships, PR, and digital, over the next three months in New South Wales and Queensland, also includes a koala chatbot.
NRMA Insurance has signed a three-year partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia to plant as many koala homes as possible across Queensland and New South Wales. The two organizations also encourage people to get involved by donating their time to plant a koala home.
