Lexus UX Advert

Lexus encourages people to “discover New Horizons with the all-new Lexus UX self-charging hybrid” in a new ad running in the UK.

The 60-second spot features South Africa-based photographer and visual artist Elsa Bleda as she drives the all-new UX compact SUV to different places to take photos. From dawn to late at night, she goes in a variety of spots to collect portraits, moments and memories. “To capture something striking, you need to keep your eyes open. And, the more you look, the more you’ll see. So, keep going,” she says in voiceover.

According to the automaker, the new UX hybrid “takes a brave new approach to SUV thinking” by featuring a “daring front end” with its dramatic Lexus signature grille, a sporty silhouette and bold rear design. The vehicle offers “class-leading fuel efficiency combined with a highly responsive driving experience” thanks to the brand’s fourth generation Lexus Self-Charging Hybrid, producing 184 DIN hp with a 0-62 mph time of 8.5 seconds. In terms of safety, it is equipped with the latest Lexus Safety System+, which comprises advanced technologies that help prevent three of the most common accident types – rear-end collisions, lane departures and collisions involving pedestrians. The interior boasts smooth leather seats that use a Calculated Art perforation pattern and the art of traditional Japanese Sashiko stitching, an optional 10.3-inch multimedia screen, touchpad, and split-screen capability, Qi-compatible wireless charger.

The UX Hybrid, with prices starting from £29,900, will be available to test drive from 22nd March in the UK.
