One of the spots, promoting the $4.99 Sourdough Patty Melt Combo, opens with the chain’s mascot, Jack, saying precisely this sentence and introducing his $4.99 Sourdough Patty Melt Combo. “You get 100% beef with grilled onions and two types of melty cheese on toasted sourdough, plus fries and a drink,” Jack says, adding that, “at $4.99, it’s the perfect remedy for the most uncomfortable things in life, like close talkers, accidental reply-ons, the dentist, flying, tight pants, clowns and guys named Ronald”.

The commercial ends with Jack saying “For comfort food at an even more comfortable price, try my $4.99 Sourdough Patty Melt Combo, only at Jack in the Box”.
