IKEA has launched a series of new ads in the UK, promoting some of its optional services that can save you time and energy.
The animated 15-second spots advertise the retailer’s home delivery, starting from £3.95, which could definitely remove the hassle for those who don’t like sitting in a traffic jam, the van rental service, starting from £13 per hour, offered in partnership with Hertz 24/7, which provides rental vans right from the IKEA store to those for whom waiting for the bus feels like a lifetime, the Småland creche, which is open 7 days a week, so customers can focus on their dream home, while he staff is handling tantrums, melt downs and wobblers, and assembly services, starting from £15, for those who would like to avoid struggling to get all their bits and bolts in the right place to build a flat pack.
The spot that focuses on the van rental service features an IKEA customer getting older and older as he’s waiting for the bus to come and take him home. After spending what it seems a lifetime at the bus station, the man sees an angel in front of his eyes. The angel is actually a woman who gives him the keys of a Hertz 24/7 van that helps him get his purchases home easily and fast.
Part of the Swedish retailer’s “The Wonderful Everyday” campaign, the comedic adverts are released with the tagline “We love the things you hate”.
Other optional services available for customers are related to kitchen planning, kitchen installation, TaskRabbit Services, removal and cycling, and more.
