American tax preparation company H&R Block has launched the first campaign created by its newly-appointed agency The Works Sydney.
Entitled “The Land of Lost Tax Deductions,” the spot aims to highlight how Australians are missing out on billions of dollars representing unclaimed deductions, by featuring an H&R Block tax expert ticking off potential items that could be claimed disappearing in a puff of smoke. The young lady, named Irene, and many other tax experts work to recover over a billion dollars in deductions every year for the company’s clients.
“What are you missing out on?” the voiceover asks at the end of the 30-second commercial, urging then viewers to book an appointment today.
“We work tirelessly every year for our 750,000 clients to ensure they claim all they can, that’s why we offer our maximum refund guarantee. We’re delighted with how these spots tell that story in a simple yet compelling way,” H&R Block marketing and digital product director Louise Cummins said in a press statement.
The campaign, set to debut on June 30, also includes digital and instore branding.
