Hardee’s encourages people to help save the veggies in a new ad, that promotes the chain’s Original Roast Beef sandwiches.

The 30-second spot features a woman on a vegetable plantation declaring that, every day, thousands of innocent vegetables are consumed across America, but it doesn’t have to be like this. “For as little as $5 a day, you can help save a veggie,” she also says, urging then viewers to get two delicious Hardee’s Original Roast Beef sandwiches for just $5. She mentions that these sandwiches are made with “slow-cooked beef hand-dipped in rich au jus,” with “no a slice of tomato or leaf of lettuce inside”.

The protein-filled item will be available as a 2 for $5 regular size value meal beginning on April 29 at participating locations.

To celebrate the return of its Original Roast Beef Sandwich, Hardee’s is partnering with the American Community Gardening Association (ACGA), a bi-national nonprofit that helps communities by planting local gardens across the nation, to help plant more than 10 million veggies nationwide.
