Google Duo Commercial

Google has teamed up with Dr. Maya Angelou for a new installment in the tech giant’s “Here to help” series, entitled “Share the love with Google Duo”.

The 60-second spot, which aims to encourage people to share life’s moments with friends and family using simple, high quality video calling, includes footage of a diverse cast as they use Google Duo to express their feelings of affection and love for their dear ones juxtaposed with footage of Dr. Angelou, who’s reciting the following poem: “I am grateful to have been loved and to be loved now. Love liberates. It doesn’t bind. Love says I love you. I love you if you’re in China. I love you if you’re across town. I love you if you’re in Harlem. I love you. I would like to be near you. I’d like to hear your voice in my ear. I’d like to have your arms around me. But that’s not possible now. So I love you. Go!”.

The end of the commercial sees the tagline “Share the love with a little help from Google Duo” flashing across the screen.

Google Duo, described as “the highest quality video calling app,” which makes video calling as easy as one tap, works on Android and iOS smartphones and tablets and is therefore available for download on GooglePlay and AppleStore.
