Denny’s shows its commitment to lend a helping hand and a warm meal to those who need it most, wherever they need it most, in a new commercial, featuring the chain’s new Mobile Relief Diner.
The 15-second ad highlights that this diner is more than just a 53-foot kitchen on wheels. Traveling to areas impacted by natural disasters, it is “a helping hand and a warm meal when people need it most, wherever they need it most”.
Toward the end of the video, the voiceover also says that at Denny’s “we love to feed people. It’s not just what we do, it’s why we do”.
Launched in 2018, the custom-built Mobile Relief Diner was aimed at supporting those impacted by Hurricane Florence by serving free, freshly-cooked pancake breakfasts, along with bacon, coffee and drinks, to local residents, first responders, volunteers and others.
“At Denny’s, our brand purpose is rooted in the fact that we love to feed people – and have ever since our company was founded in 1953,” said John Dillon, chief marketing officer for Denny’s, in a press statement back in 2018, when the Mobile Relief Diner was revealed for the first time. “While we deliver on that brand purpose every day inside of our restaurants, the Mobile Relief Diner allows us do what we do best by going out into local communities to offer a hot and comforting meal during a time when they could really use it the most,” he also said.
