Carousell promotes its app in a new commercial, showing how everyone wins with Carousell.
The 60-second spot features on one hand Rachel, a girl who’s on a cup noodle diet to save money for her first pair of sneakers and, on the other hand, Jen, a fashion vlogger who has lots of pairs of sneakers for a variety of occasions – some are great for music festivals, others for the weekends, and more. The latter puts her limited edition kicks on sale to fund her next camera and Rachel, who discovers the offer on Carousell, manages thus to buy her first pair of kicks.
“They met, the shoe fit, and it was lit,” the narrator says, while on screen the two youngsters are seen bonding and becoming “sisters” while doing a series of photos for Instagram.
“When a small deal leads to you becoming a big deal, everyone wins,” the narrator adds at the end of the commercial.
Carousell is a community marketplace that allows members to buy and sell a wide range of products, from clothes, accessories and beauty products to furniture, art, books, branded goods, cars, bikes, and even houses. Its slogan is “Sell in a snap, buy with a chat,” to illustrate the easy process of selling and buying on Carousell.
