Booking.com and ICC – International Cricket Council have teamed up for howzat!, the world’s greatest cricket celebration, and launched a new ad, aimed at highlighting that it’s the fans who make the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 unforgettable.
The 60-second spot features dozens of cricket fans of different ages and backgrounds as they’re playing cricket across the city and take the game to the next level. Eventually, the blue ball is passed to professional players on the field, who are cheered by the crowd, at the stadium.
The commercial ends with a young tourist who returns into his hotel room and throws himself on the bed after a cricket game in the city streets. An onscreen line informs that Booking.com is global partner of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The digital travel platform and the ICC signed, back in March 2019, a strategic five-year agreement, in which Booking.com will become the exclusive Accommodation and Attractions Booking Partner for all ICC events and will also be collaborating with the organization on various campaigns and activations.
