Aéropostale showcases its Back to School collection in a new commercial, that encourages youngsters to “get real”.
The spot features diverse cast modeling pieces like real denim high-rise mini skirts, crop tops, jeans, T-shirts and more. The Floral Square-Neck Crop Top, with back tie and adjustable straps, paired with matching wide-leg trousers, a white T-shirt paired with a denim mini skirt, are only some of the outfits rocked by the girls. Their male friends are wearing jeans, graphic T-shirts, hoodies and denim jackets.
The song used in the ad is the 2016 single “Pavement” by Brooklyn producer and songwriter Stray Echo, whose lyrics “I want your wheels on my pavement” are famous.
The specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories maintains control over its proprietary brands by designing, sourcing, marketing and selling all of its own merchandise.
