Wells Fargo celebrates its status of proud sponsor of the Mexican National Team in a new commercial, which highlights that, if you lose your card, Wells Fargo is there for you to help.
The 30-second spot features a football fan who realizes, in front of an ATM, that he lost his bank card. Recalling all the places he’s been to and the things he has done, he realizes where his debit card might be. In the meantime, he opens the Wells Fargo app and turns the card off. Then he rushes back to the bar where he and his friends celebrated the victory of their favorite team and gets back from the barista his card, which he turns on again from the app.
The ad also informs that turning off your debit card is not a replacement for reporting your card lost or stolen.
Card holders are advised to be sure to review their account activity and contact the bank immediately if they believe that unauthorized transactions have been made. It is also specified that the availability of this service may be affected by the coverage area of the mobile carrier used by the card owner.
The bank has renewed its commitment to people and is working to earn back their trust through a series of actions and new features made available for customers, like automatic notifications whenever a personal or small business checking account, savings account, or credit card has been opened, creating a dedicated 24/7 toll-free number for customers to voice concerns about their account or any part of their Wells Fargo experience, ending product sales goals for retail bankers who serve customers in bank branches and call centers, introduction of improved employee ethics training and new compensation and performance management plans for retail bankers focused on customer experience, stronger oversight and controls, and team versus individual incentives.
