Mercedes-Benz has launched a new commercial, urging people to visit the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart to discover their childhood dream car on a unique journey through automotive history.
The spot, released with the tagline “Awaken Your Inner Child,” features a young boy among several visitors at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, who can’t help but touch his dream car. He gets into it and, willing to experience the feeling of driving it, rotates the steering wheel, shaking his head to the rhythms of music.
However, his fun is soon interrupted by the lady serving as a tour guide, who makes him a sign to get out of there. Thus, it turns out he is not actually a child, but a grown-up man who just allowed his inner child to express himself.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum celebrates the automobile invented by Carl Benz in 1886: it relates its history and tells its stories, bringing both alive by placing them in the context of technology, day-to-day life, social history and popular culture. More than 160 vehicles of all types, from the very first patented car in the world to the hydrogen vehicle from this millennium, are the main protagonists, spread across twelve room, on a surface totaling 16,500 square meters.
The Museum is open from Tuesdays to Sundays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and a regular day ticket is priced at 10 €. There is also a reduced 5 € ticket and free entry for children, up to and including the age of 14.
