Mercedes-Benz showcases its first fully electric car, Mercedes-Benz EQC, in a new commercial, showing how less noise can sometimes lead to the perfect song.

The spot features a family on a road trip with their Mercedes-Benz EQC, as they travel almost silently through the white winter landscape and sing their favourite Christmas carols, such as “Jingle Bells”, “Deck the Halls” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” as loudly or quietly as they wish.

The commercial ends with the onscreen line “Mercedes-Benz EQ wishes happy holidays and time to recharge” and with a worker from the gas station singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” as he watches the family hit the road.

The automaker specifies that, “With its unique acoustic comfort and the meticulously insulated interior, the EQC is virtually unaffected by the outside world and even the softest sighs of its passengers”.

Mercedes-Benz presented its new product and technology brand for electric mobility for the first time at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The first EQC Mercedes-Benz vehicle is set to be on the road in mid-2019.
