Matalan TV Advert - Feat. Denise Van Outen

British fashion and homeware retailer Matalan showcases its Mini Me range in a new advert, highlighting that “There’s nothing better than going matchy with your kids this Christmas.”

The spot, created like a show dedicated to matching outfits and hosted by English actress, singer, model, dancer and presenter Denise Van Outen, features Denise and her daughter, Betsy, wearing matching tartan pieces. After welcoming viewers to the show and the “festive fashion fun,” she says they’re celebrating “the magic of matching” with the retailer’s mini me collection. She then introduces the Jones family, consisting of Rachel, Chris, and their toddler, Abigail, who are all wearing matching Elf Christmas T-shirts. During the conversation, which covers plans for Christmas and more, Denise also presents her daughter’s outfit, a novelty dress with a classic red and blue check pattern, featuring pretty ruffle trims, together with cuffed long sleeves and a gathered waist. She says “tartan is really big this season” and, as Betsy is giving a twirl, she adds that the dress is “really nice and comfortable and what’s great about it is it’s lovely material, really good quality.” The glittery tights and the grunge boots the girl is wearing are also showcased.

Finally, Denise wishes viewers happy Christmas and mentions that, “if you fancy some of your own mini-me fun, there’s loads to choose from in store and online”.

The matching family collection also features a Christmas pajama set (crafted in a soft cotton blend) that includes a long sleeve red top featuring a Christmas checklist design, reading “Dear Santa, I would like for Christmas… 1) sleep in 2) hot bath 3) chocolate 4) wine,” and bottoms with elasticated waistband and straight legs, featuring an all-over red check print, a soft red jumper detailed with a reindeer print to the front with pom pom antlers, pom pom nose and appliqué stripe scarf, a novelty dress for moms and daughters, featuring a red base, which is trimmed with signature printing to the front, and more.
