The 40-second spot, titled “Pull the old switcheroo,” features several persons switching things up, like a driver stuck in traffic using a mobile app to change the route, a homeowner using a mobile app to control remotely his smart home device and arm the door, and a man giving up his traditional vacuum cleanear and having instead a robot vacuum do the cleaning while he’s relaxing on the couch with a bowl of popcorn.
“In the modern world, it pays to switch things up. You can switch and save time. You can switch and save worry. You can switch and save hassle. And when you switch to Esurance, you can save time, worry, hassle, and – yep – money,” the voiceover says, mentioning that “drivers who switched from GEICO to Esurance saved hundreds.” “So you might want to think about pulling the old switcheroo. That’s Auto and Home insurance for the modern,” the voiceover says at the end of the commercial.
The Allstate-owned insurance company, which sells auto, home, motorcycle, and renters insurance direct to consumers online and by phone, has been also promoting its Roadside Assistance services, the single deductible (which helps customers save when they bundle their auto and home), the RepairView from Esurance, its online repair monitoring feature available for customers using the Esurance Mobile app, which allows them to monitor the entire car repair process if they have their car repaired at one of the 1,000+ Esurance-approved E-star repair facilities.
