Burger King highlights, in one of its latest ads, that from now to November 26, you can make brands pay for your Whopper by clicking their banner ads on the whopper-shopper website, a marketplace that “turns your holiday shopping into free Whopper Sandwiches”.
The 60-second commercial informs that you can shop one of over 1000 big brands and they’ll pay for your Whopper. The voiceover explains how this works, starting by mentioning that every time you click a banner on a website to buy something from a brand, the owner of the website gets a percentage of the sale from that brand. With whopper-shopper.com, a website with nothing but banners, each time somebody clicks on one of the banner ads and purchases something, the company pays the Burger King brand money. Money that the burger chain will give back as Whopper vouchers.
All you have to do is create an account on whopper-shopper.com, click on a brand and go to their page and make your purchase. Then, all that’s left to do is wait for your free Whopper vouchers to arrive in the mail and enjoy the “delicious flame-grilled treat, courtesy of some of the biggest brands out there”.
The special website went live at noon ET on Thursday, November 15, and will be open until November 26, while supplies last for US residents only. The burger chain has also informed that, due to high demand, there will be a limit of three Whopper sandwich vouchers per eligible participant. The vouchers, distributed as $5 Burger King Gift Cards while supplies last, will be sent to participants shortly after the end of the promotion.
