Amazon Echo Spot Commercial - Boy & Little Pet Pig

Amazon advertises its Echo Spot with Alexa video-calling in a new commercial that tugs at the viewers’ heartstrings.

Titled “Bedtime Story,” the 30-second spot revolves around the friendship between a little boy and his piglet, named Charlie, and shows how Amazon Echo Spot helps them staying connected even when they’re not in the same room. The kid is seen spending a lot of time with his little four-legged friend and reading to him every night a bedtime story. As time passes by and the piglet turns into a pig, it is no longer possible for him to stay inside the house or in the kid’s arms to listen to stories, so the parents take him in a pigpen. This, however, doesn’t mean the end of their friendship as the parents come up with the idea of using the Alexa-enabled speaker to keep the two friends connected. The end of the ad sees the boy watching Charlie during a video call and reading a bedtime story, as always.

The Amazon Echo Spot, the stylish, compact Echo with a screen, designed to fit anywhere in your home, allows you to use 2nd generation far-field voice recognition to watch video flash briefings, see music lyrics, weather forecasts, to-do and shopping lists, browse and listen to Audible audiobooks, and more. The speaker connects to Alexa, a cloud-based voice service to play music, read the news, answer questions, set music alarms, control smart home, and more. It also enables you to call almost anyone hands-free, or make video calls to family and friends. Described by Digital Trends as “Amazon’s best-looking Echo device to date,” the Echo Spot is available for purchase on Amazon for $129.99. When you buy two, you can save $40.
