“Whether you’re calling to say a quick hello or connecting for a long catch up, the all-new Echo Show lets you stay connected with the people that matter the most.” that’s the idea behind the latest Amazon Echo Show commercial.
The 30-second ad features a young woman who, after taking out of the oven the duck she had tried to prepare for a romantic dinner with her boyfriend, gets panicked because it’s burnt and calls her dad via the Echo Show to help her with a new dish. Learning that she has spaghetti in the cabinet, he immediately comes up with the idea of cooking spaghetti and gives her step-by-step instructions on what she should do. When the doorbell rings, right after she finishes the meal, the girl asks her father how she looks and is given a confidence boost when he replies “Perfect.” When he asks her what’s her partner’s name, though, she decides to hang up and asks Alexa to do it, while she’s heading to the door to open it.
The all-new Amazon Echo Show was introduced earlier this year, in September. It features a new look, a vibrant 10″ HD screen, built-in smart home hub, and improved speakers, which boast dual 2″ premium drivers, a passive bass radiator, and Dolby processing to deliver expansive stereo sound with deep, powerful lows and crisp highs.
Available in charcoal and sandstone, the Echo Show is priced at $229.99. When you buy two, you save $100.
