U by Kotex promotes, in a new ad, its new Fitness tampons, pads and liners that “stay in place so that you don’t have to”.

The 15-second spot features plus-size African-American yoga instructor Jessamyn Stanley (@mynameisjessamyn) listing a series of usual excuses for women not to work out, such as “I don’t know where to start”, “I’m not strong enough/thin enough/good enough”, “I’m on my period”, and highlighting “they’re all just excuses”. The voiceover mentions, at the end of the spot, which features Jessamyn and her class “in action”, that the new U by Kotex Fitness stays in place so that we don’t have to”.

Jessamyn Stanley, based in Durham, North Carolina, is also a body positivity advocate, who “uses high energy vinyasa flow as a way to move past mental and emotional barriers”, and writer, contributing to Mind Body Green, Wanderlust, & Elephant Journal.

U by Kotex offers its website visitors to pick a sample pack including Fitness products (regular pads with wings, regular liners, regular tampons, FitPak) so that they could find their perfect period products.
