Starbucks celebrates the arrival of Pumpkin Spice Latte – one of the fall favorites – in a series of new ads, highlighting that, “every year, the first Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season is hatched from a very talented pumpkin”.

The spots feature the respective pumpkin, described as “the magical PSL pumpkin”, that has the ability to usher in the unofficial start of the season, taking into consideration weather forecasts, tidal patterns, magic and science, surrounded by puppies, by kittens, “posing” for a portrait, doing yoga, guided meditation and various other activities. Dutch actor Carel Struycken (best known for playing the Giant in Twin Peaks) stars in one of the spots, playing a tune on a harmonica to the PSL pumpkin.

Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte, available for a limited time only, features flavor notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, and can be enjoyed topped with whipped cream and real pumpkin pie spices. It is also available iced or blended.

Another fall drink, also available for a limited time at Starbucks, is the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino Blended Beverage, which blends mocha sauce and toffee nut syrup with coffee, and is finished with whipped cream, caramel sauce and a blend of turbinado sugar and sea salt.
