Staples has revealed a new public service announcement starring Lady Gaga, to show its commitment of supporting education.
The music icon and the American multinational office supply retailing corporation have teamed up to promote kindness in schools across the country and ensure that teachers and students have the resources they need for successful classroom learning.
The 60-second PSA, titled “Lady Gaga and Staples for Students” and created by Madison + Vine, features Lady Gaga showing up as a substitute teacher to a class. “I’m here today to promote a positive learning environment. I want kids to love themselves. Seriously.” – reveals the artist, who’s asking the kids to draw what is their future and what does it look like and what supplies they need to achieve their dreams. Stating that “not having materials at school is a real problem that puts a child at a deficit”, she also highlights that “before we fix that problem, we need to acknowledge that problem”. “I’m teaming up with Staples for Students to give teachers the supplies and support they need to empower their students.” – says Lady Gaga, mentioning that Staples is making $2 million donations to DonorsChoose.org (a charity that has helped donors fund more than 25.000 classroom projects across the country) and Born This Way Foundation (which was founded by Lady Gaga and her mother to support the wellness of young people and empower them to create a kinder and braver world). The PSA airs nationwide for the back-to-school season.
