Sonos Commercial: Dad Putting Twin Babies to Sleep

Sonos has released a series of new ads to showcase its “smart speaker for music lovers”, Sonos One, which will be available October 24.

One of them, dubbed “From Sleepless Nights to Fast Asleep”, shows a parent’s transformation, through the power of music, from sleepless nights with their new born twins to falling fast asleep on the couch. The 30-second spot features a young father holding his new-born baby in his arms and asking Sonos’ voice assistant to play “Rest” (by Michael Kiwanuka), and managing thus to make the infant fall asleep. After leaving the room, he goes to the living room, where his wife is holding the twin. He takes the baby and uses the same “strategy”, allowing thus his life partner to get some rest.

The spot ends with the onscreen line “The Smart Speaker for Music Lovers”.

Sonos One, featuring Amazon Alexa built-in, enables users to play and control their music, hands-free, check news and traffic, manage smart devices, and more. They can also use touch to perform various operations, such as tap to turn up the volume, swipe to skip a track, mute the microphone for privacy.

Sonos One can be pre-ordered for $199.
