“First time I was at BMO field was amazing. I really enjoy Toronto. The first time I came here I said there is a different energy. The first idea was change life, change everything. I like the style of the life here. Here you can have a life.” – Giovinco says, recalling his first days in Toronto. He also talks about his way of coping with difficulties, revealing that he thinks positive, as this is important for him and the team. “When I walk in the tunner, I feel the energy of the fans, for sure. I feel the whole city behind me and I’m ready for the win.” – the football player adds in the 60-second spot, aiming to highlight that “Optimism can bring us together”.
Sonnet, the only insurance company in Canada to currently nationally sell home and auto insurance completely online, announced the new sponsorship as the Official Insurance Partner of Toronto FC earlier this year, in May, in its attempt to extend its awareness in Canada and strengthen its community engagement, according to VP Marketing John Rocco.
Sebastian Giovinco has been considered as “an ideal ambassador for the brand” thanks to his exciting plays, that inspire optimism within fans.
