McDonald’s continues its “Nothing Comes Before Coffee” ad campaign with a new commercial, announcing the addition of a whole new line of espresso drinks at McCafé and that, for a limited time, you can get your favorite small McCafé beverage for just $2.
The 30-second spot, titled “Football Game Announcer”, features a group of workers in a garage listening to the radio a football game. Unfortunately for them, when the suspanse is at the highest level, the football game announcer stops reporting. A subsequent scene reveals the reason why: he stopped to have some coffee. “Nothing comes before coffee, That’s why we’re introducing a whole new line of espresso drinks from McCafé. Cofee quality from beans to espresso machines.” – the voiceover says at the end of the spot, which also shows the football game announcer revealing what happened on the field while he drank his coffee.
Among the new McCafé espresso drinks at McDonald’s, there are the McCafé Iced Caramel Macchiato, made with rich, dark-roast espresso served with iced whole or nonfat milk, mixed with sweet caramel syrup, and topped with ribbons of buttery caramel, McCafé Caramel Macchiato, McCafé French Vanilla Cappuccino, made with whole or nonfat steamed milk, bold espresso made from sustainably-sourced beans, fluffy foam, and rich French Vanilla flavor, McCafé Sugar-Free French Vanilla Cappuccino, McCafé Americano, made with hot water poured over the brand’s Rainforest Alliance Certified espresso, McCafé Hazelnut Cappuccino, made with whole or nonfat steamed milk, bold espresso made from sustainably-sourced beans, fluffy foam, and smooth, earthy hazelnut flavor, and others.
