Matthew McConaughey stars in a new commercial for Lincoln Motor Company, showcasing the all-new Navigator, which was designed – according to the automaker – “to improve the quality of your time on the road”.
The 60-second spot, titled “Perfect Rhythms”, features the Academy Award winner actor at the wheel of a 2018 Lincoln Black Label stopping at a railroad crossing before the barriers come down and the flashing lights turn red and enjoying every second of his waiting for the train to pass by doing a rendition of the chest-beating scene from the 2013 film “The Wolf of Wall Street”. While, in the film, his character starts doing his rhythmic chant and pounding his chest, in this ad, McConaughey starts pounding the wheel to the rhythms of the train approaching and speeding ahead.
When the wait is over and the barriers come up, he smiles and hits the road again.
The luxury automotive brand of Ford Motor Company also states that the new Lincoln Navigator, which is the brand’s largest premium SUV, features “more intuitive technology, best-in-class second- and third-row legroom, and abundant cargo space”.
With a Twin-Turbocharged 3.5L engine and a 10-speed transmission, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator (starting at $72,055 as of December 28) boasts an interior designed to offer a “uniquely comfortable experience”, including Perfect Position Seat with Active Motion, with the seat back articulating forward to cradle you and power thigh adjusters that extend and retract to provide individual leg comfort.
The unforgettable experience is also ensured by the premium materials used, such as Venetian leather, premium Dinamica sueded cloth, and rich woods.
McConaughey signed on to be the Lincoln’s spokesman in 2014 and has starred since in several ad campaigns for Ford’s luxury division, showcasing the first-ever Lincoln MKC, Lincoln Continental, and Lincoln Navigator.
