“It’s the summer of BIG Little Adventures here at Just Eat, so mix up your usual order and throw in a wild card…” – this is the message conveyed by Just Eat in its latest advert.

The 30-second spot, dubbed “Stay in your lane, Elaine”, features a lady named Elaine, who hasn’t felt this wild since 1972 and experiments with her usual Just Eat order by having halloumi in a burger. “Nothing says British summer time quite like this. But hang on, halloumi in a burger?” – the voiceover asks when the woman who’s soaking in the sun on her patio takes a bite of her burger. At this point, confetti start falling and the voiceover adds that “it’s the season of big little adventures here, at Just Eat”.

The spot ends with the voiceover saying “Thank God she’s got a hanky”, referring to Elaine, who’s using a handkerchief to wipe her mouth after biting into the burger.
