Halo Top Creamery has launched a new ad, created by Red Tettemer O’Connell & Partners, to promote its low-calorie, low-sugar ice cream.
The 35-second spot, titled “The Trade” and directed by Casey Storm of Anonymous Content, features the devil going to Heaven and trying to make a deal with an angel. He asks the latter to stop producing “decadent, low-calorie, sin-free Halo Top ice cream” and, in exchange, he’ll stop making Segways. In the meantime, he uses a Segway in front of the angel and says that “these things (referring to Segways) will be missed more than ice cream”.
The spot ends with some of the “perfect pints” put on display, such as the Halo Top Birthday Cake (with 280 calories per pint), Halo Top Peanut Butter Cup (with 320 calories per pint), Halo Top Chocolate (with 280 calories per pint), and others.
The digital spots released by the ice cream brand, that mark its first major ad campaign, run on platforms including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
