DIRECTV Commercial: Head Bang

DIRECTV has launched a new commercial, urging viewers to switch to DIRECTV for “a number-one rated customer satisfaction over cable”.

“DIRECTV has been rated #1 in customer satisfaction over cable for 17 years running. But some people still like cable. Just like some people like banging their head on a low ceiling, drinking spoiled milk, camping in poison ivy, getting a paper cut, and having their arm trapped in a vending machine.” – the voiceover says in the 30-second spot, dubbed “Head Bang”, which features persons doing all these things.

“But for everyone else, there’s DIRECTV. For a number-one rated customer satisfaction over cable, switch to DIRECTV.” – the voiceover adds at the end of the spot, while an onscreen line reveals that you will pay $25/month plus taxes for 2 years. There are, however, some requirements, such as 24-month TV AGMT and AT&T Unlimited Plus and Wireless SVS, and restrictions, as – after 22GB of data usage – AT&T may slow speed.
