A new star-studded campaign for CÎROC, the brand of eau-de-vie vodka produced and distributed by the British-based multinational alcoholic beverage maker Diageo, has been launched, with the mention that in 2018 the brand’s main focus will be Blue Dot.
The spot features DJ Khaled, Fat Boy, French Montana, Salt Bae, Cassie, Monica, Dej Loaf, and Sean “Diddy” Combs, the one who has been handling marketing and promotion for CÎROC since 2007, spending time together on a sunny day. Most precisely, they are playing tennis, and Fat Boy serves as a referee in a double match between Diddy and his girlfriend, Cassie, on one hand and French Montana and Dej Loaf, on the other hand. “Aye, I got my money on Diddy & Cassie.” – DJ Khaled tells Monica, who’s lying in the sun on a lounger. When Diddy asks Montana if he’s ready, DJ Khaled keeps talking to Monica, saying he doesn’t know French and that he’s unpredictable for him. While Diddy tells his new opponent “It’s coming straight to you”, Monica says “Diddy can’t play no tennis.” Khaled indulges her and says, in response, “I might have to jump on that court and show them what it is.” “I’m warning you, he can’t play.” – Monica adds, while the four fellows are playing. When Fat Boy declares French and Dej victorious, Diddy claims that he got it wrong and starts arguing. Fat Boy tells Diddy he needs some (Ciroc) Blue Dot to calm down and the latter agrees, toasting then to “another great day”.
This is not the first commercial featuring Diddy playing a sport. The last CÎROC ad saw him trying his hand at curling.
