Sesame Street Gang stars in a digital campaign for Chrysler, titled “Listen, Drive, Surprise!”, promoting the brand’s Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid minivans.
Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert, Ernie, The Count, and the other Sesame characters will appear in 10 co-branded videos done by creative shop Mediabrands Society, showcasing the various innovations these cars have.
In one of the 90-second spots, when the Sesame Street gang hits the road for the beach in the Chrysler Pacifica, Bert has the perfect answer when Abby, Elmo and Ernie ask “Are we there yet?”: the Are We There Yet App, which displays the distance remaining to the destination and estimated arrival times, all presented in a fun, colorful, and child-friendly graphics.
When they arrive at the beach and use the hands-free liftgate, the Ball, the Bucket and the Towel get off and don’t hesitate to express their enthusiasm. “Oh, the beach! Come on guys, let’s bounce!” – the Ball says, bouncing down the trunk. “This has been on my bucket list for years!” – the Bucket says following the Ball.
“Wahoo! I am ready to soak it in!” – the Towel says. At this point, Ernie feels the need to express his worries related to the sunscreen (“Gee, Bert, I hope you brought enough sunscreen for everyone.”), making Bert sigh.
Chrysler helps Sesame Workshop, through this campaign, to “extend its reach in new and creative ways”, according to Steve Youngwood, chief operating officer of Sesame Workshop, and supports its nonprofit mission to “help kids grow smarter, stronger and kinder”.
