BMO Harris Bank has launched a new hilarious commercial, promoting its Smart Advantage Checking Account, with
no monthly fees when you choose eStatements.

The 30-second spot, titled “Why”, features a BMO officer telling to a lady, who’s with her young daughter at the bank, that with BMO Checking Account she doesn’t have to pay any monthly maintenance fees. “Why?” – asks the girl.

“Well, because we try to understand their customers’ needs. So we included no minimum balance and access to 40.000 no fees ATM nationwide.” “Why?” – keeps asking the girl. “Because we care about our customers” – replies the employee. The kid doesn’t stop here, though, and asks once again “Why?”, putting the man in trouble. “Because, because… mmm” – he falters, looking at her mom, who doesn’t help him, doing quite the opposite. “What? These are not important questions?” – she asks him, waiting for a response, as well. When the little one raises one more time the same question, he can’t help but smile.

The spot ends with the voiceover introducing the Checking Account with no monthly account maintenance fees and saying the BMO bank’s tagline, “We’re here to help”.
