Volkswagen showcases the 7-seater Volkswagen Atlas in a new commercial, focusing on one of the SUV’s safety systems: the Pedestrian Monitoring.
The 30-second spot, titled “Parents” and aiming to highlight that “the Atlas has available Pedestrian Monitoring because not every day is a walk in the park”, features a woman driving the new Atlas through a city, with her family in the car, on the brink of hitting a young boy who rushes to cross the street and doesn’t pay attention to traffic. Luckily, the woman’s SUV is equipped with Pedestrian Monitoring, a system designed to give an immediate acoustic and visual signal to warn the driver in case a pedestrian is stepping onto the road suddenly and initiate a jolt of the brake if the driver does not brake. The reactions of relief of the family members sitting in the back seat are also shown.
The spot ends with the onscreen line “Life’s as big as you make it”.
The automaker has also released other spots to present the Atlas’ available customizable digital display, easy 3rd-row access, available panoramic sunroof, available 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and the generous space, that allows a family of six to sleep in the car.
