Boy and Guide Dog - Honda CR-V Commercial

Honda showcases, in a new ad, the 2018 Honda CR-V, highlighting that it has “more comfortable interior and more technology than ever”.

The spot, dubbed “Best Friends”, features a mother driving a 2018 Honda CR-V Touring to an adoption centre, where her son chooses a golden retriever to take him home. Asked by his mom if he’s sure he wants to do “this”, he confirms and thus the puppy is taken home, with them. As the ad goes on, it is shown how the boy and the dog become best friends over the years and how, one day, his mom gets a call that marks a new chapter in the dog’s life: it turns out he had been trained to be a guide dog for a visually impaired boy, whose face is brightened by a large smile when he feels his new furry friend touching him.

“Sometimes your dream is to help others realize theirs,” the voiceover says, adding “With more style and technology than ever, the 2018 Honda CR-V, 2018 Motor Trend SUV”.

According to the automaker, the 2018 Honda CR-V offers “stylish trim options, impressive specs and top-rated safety features”. The compact SUV boasts distinctive headlights, taillights and sporty, sculpted panels, sophisticated materials and innovative touches, like the available leather-trimmed seats with Driver’s Seat Memory, and Honda Sensing, a suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies including Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Road Departure Mitigation System, and Collision Mitigation Braking System.
